a friend of mine posted this question at another forum and hasn't received any responses.

i would appreciate it if any of you can answer his question:

"Is anyone aware of any protocol for isolating RNA from formalin fixed polyethylene glycol embedded tissues?"

thanks

No specifics, but I think the PEG will probably preserve the RNA well.  I would attempt to just use a protocol for formalin fixed tissue, and do a bunch of washes beforehand to remove the PEG.
