Morning, how are you?

 

After reading about paper diagnostics, especially the semi-quantitative sort, I wonder how they are made. ie are ragents simply spotted and allowed to dry? And for the semi-quantitative type, would you simply measure out different quantities of your reagent that you then spot on the paper so that if you add your sample you will get different shades of color?

 

Somehow it seems too simple, like I must be missing somethiing.

 

Have you ever done something similar in your lab for a simple test?
