I will be isolating RNA from cryopreserved human brains. What safety precautions should I be aware of, to protect myself from pathogens. I would appreciate information/links to resources on physical protection as well as post-disinfection.

New guidelines came up after discoveries were made in the area of CJD (Creutzfeldt Jacob Disease) some years prior to mad cow discoveries. Maybe you should write to this guy or pull up the FDA docket on Human dura mater at www.fda.gov.
