Hello BioForumers,

We have just upgraded the forum program to its latest version. Some of the new features visible to users are as follows.

The Best Answer Feature (see an example here)
The new version comes with a brand new 'best answer' feature. This enables the topic starter and moderators  to mark a post as the best answer. To tag a reply as the best answer, check the "Mark Solved" button in the ower right hand corner of the post. Then at the top of the topic, a small excerpt of the post is shown as the best answer.

Share a single post
You might want to share a great reply to a topic on Facebook or perhaps email a link to an interesting post to a friend. You can now do this by clicking either the post number or the little share icon to the right of the post number. This brings up a new modal window.

Mobile Moderation
Now moderators are able to perform basic moderation actions from within the mobile theme. To that end, buttons for common topic moderation are added into the mobile skin.

Cheers,

Bioforum

But why is it no longer on display who and how many people liked a post ?

Il vivait. Il mourut quand il n'eut plus son ange;
La chose simplement d'elle-même arriva,
Comme la nuit se fait lorsque le jour s'en va.

strange, for I cannot see this info anymore when I look at posts that have been liked (such as the posts in the "most liked content" section or even when I wanted to look up a post of mine that has recently been liked in this thread http://www.protocol-...rvisor-for-phd/ for instance)

You are right. Users other than admin cannot see likes.

edit: The problem has been fixed now.

in the classical skin (which I use only) the Bioforum logo is gone on the left side, there's only a small link text named "logo"

That is....if she posts at all.

my bioforum skin again looks incomplete with some logos gone such as the read/unread icon on the left of the thread titles or the bioforum logo itself (I use the latest Firefox, not all scripts are allowed):

How does the "best answer" thing work?

I dont see anything in the upper right corner to click on to make it the best answer.

Am I missing something here or...?

If you don't know it, then ask it! Better to ask and look foolish to some than not ask and stay stupid.
