I was wondering if anyone has been able to get an immortalized cell line to differentiate, to the point of cilia formation. After looking this up via Google, I now understand that this doesn't happen often or at all (I read some conflicting evidence). It would make my year, if I could find a cell line that produced cilia of the human upper respiratory tract.
If a professor handed you a vial of immortalized human bronchial epithelial cells (hBE) and told you to passage them to the point of differentiation, how would you do this?
