Hello!
I was wondering if anyone has any tips/advice on transfection/infection experiments.
We're currently using Promega's TransFast transfection reagent, but are having problems finding transfected and infected cells. i.e., the cross-over between the two is very poor. TransFast seems to stick to coverslips, (and, unsurprisingly the cells!). This binds DAPI when we do immunofluorescence experiments and we're wondering if this is inhibiting the subsequent infection. Unfortunately, we're limited by the rate of viral replication, so we can't infect then transfect!
Does anyone have any transfection reagents they'd recommend for this type of work.
Cheers
Chris
