I am reviving Hela, I don't know why( the cells after the medium change on second day..)in third day or later looking to be dusty..some dark precipitation like thing in the cell. please reply soon.
( the cell line are one month old stored at -80; we use DMEM medium)

cloudy and dusty, sounds your cells are contaminated.....just throw it off and start with new vial...change medium, trypsin and PBS when you take the new vial...it is advisable to sterilize the incubator as well.
I would prefer being perfectionist rather than a passionist in Research.

Agree, "cloudy" always sounds like a contamination....

I am sure it is not contamination.. Mostly because of maintaining conditions...I guess I Used lot of spirit to clean my hands before placing it in the incubator. so it caused the stress to them..
what do you say??
