I need to investigate the effect of Hofmeister series (ions) on cell culture. Different salts of these ions will be used but the salts must be non toxic to the cell cultures. Could anyone please help me to know the non toxic (safe) salts of this series?

If you are doing cell culture already - then you must know a few of these (think PBS)...

OK, phospahte buffered saline (PBS)... that should get you started, think about other physiological salts too.
I think you will find that it is more a matter of dose than absolute toxicity.
