well, since we are only 4 then we have very flexible rules...and it's usually 2 guessing posts (which can contain a number of guesses often times wrong) and then a clue is given...

That was exactly what the clue had been referring to. Even the Wikipedia article didn't state the solution for a long time, i think only some years ago they chose to break the rule.
