Do you mean it is farer away from our point of view than North Africa ? Or that it is farer away from North Africa than from the rest of Africa ?

it's farer away from our point of view (Europe as Mlle C avoids posting here tongue.png ) compared to north Africa (from the capital to have a fixed point since the country is not small but was larger and nearer in earlier times...
