Hi, Friends

I have been trying to isolate proteins and RNAs from mice hearts and other tissues but there seems to be a fairly amount of contamination with blood. I am not sure whether this will affect my results or not. Also, is there a way to reduce this contamination?

Thanks a lot.

It may affect your results depending on what you are looking for.  Before/while you euthanise the mouse you can perfuse with PBS or something similar to wash out the blood.
