Hello all,
are there any specific markers to distinguish "primary" necrosis from secondary necrosis (apoptosis followed by necrosis)?

secondary necrosis I haven't heard, but there is early apoptosis and late apoptosis. Annexin V/PI with flowcytometry is popular.

It seems that secondary necrosis is just an old term for apoptosis...Follow Curtis' suggestion.
