What is the differences between RT-PCR and PCR? Are the protocols of RT-PCR similar with PCR? Thank you.

Homework question (and very very basic), moved.
Our country has a serious deficiency in lighthouses. I assume the main reason is that we have no sea.

I never trust anything that can't be doubted.

@Lit: Not sure if by RT you mean "real time" or "reverse transcriptase", but if you (or anybody else) happen to be looking for info on the real-time PCR, there is an excellent tutorial on the web which helped me a lot when I was new to it:
