I'm looking for a bacterial vector to over express my protein. Ideally with a smaller tag than His of Gst (at the N-terminal). Does anyone know of any please. I want to use my protein in enzyme activity assays once made.

Why don't you use a cleavable His tag? That way you have no tag at all after purification/cleavage. look into the pET vectors if you are interested in that.
