Just check it with your local hospital or something.
From where are you?
In my country for example, you can list yourself as a donor. They then check everything (see if you are healthy etc) and then when they have a match with you that needs them, they will call you, give you the medicine etc.. and then you can donate.
They dont just take the cells when there is no one that can use them.. its not like giving blood.

If you don't know it, then ask it! Better to ask and look foolish to some then not ask and stay stupid.
