Hi everybody
I've been looking for a while now, and haven't come across this anywhere. Is glutamine synthetase (enzyme synthesizing glutamine from glutamate and ammonia) present in heterotrophs, e.g animals? This is quite a big deal, because it is the primary pahtway of ammonia assimilation in plants.
Thank you in advance, and if you have any good sources then please cite them.
Is glutamine synthetase present in animals?
