Hi everyone,

I am looking for a good culture protocol to maintain normal primary cells in culture at a level of 70-80% conflluence at a basal, non proliferating stage for several additional days. This is in order to test the effect of cytotoxic drugs on normal, nondividing cells.

Can anyone suggest such methods?

Look for methods relating to cell synchronization.  Depending on the cells you want to use serum starvation is often a good start.
