Ah! I see. Darn. 9g/100 mL puts my concentration at 9%. Per my calculations, I need to prepare 20%. So, the calculations that I did above need to be adjusted from 20% to 9% correct?

I went ahead and add 50 mL of DI water to the solution to dilute it down, and it all dissolved. Does this mean that my solution is still 10% concentration? Or given the solubility, is it actually at 9% concentration?

You added 50ml to what?
WHat is your endvolume now?
10grams in 100ml or?

But not if only 9g are soluble in 100 mL....at room temperature there should be a precipitate visible of the remaining gram.

I am assuming he was able to dissolve it completely.

But indeed, you are right, is there is precipitation then its not 10% rather 9%
