I'm looking for someone to comment on this picture of gel I've stained. The staining seems to be poorly done.

The gel looks fine to me - how much sample did you load (in ug) and the size?  Ladder? Running and staining protocols?

Yea, it sucks.  Are you sure you added the correct volumes of sampe, the correct concentration EtBr, and that you UV box is exciting at the correct wavelength?
