Dr. H, there is a long list of movies that I would recommend you to stay away from, but like any other film industry, we have our occasional gems too...

Casey, you could try Taare Zameen Par (with genuine subtitles of course) and Lage Raho Munnabhai
(this one will seem more natural, if you have visited Mumbai)
