Hi,

I am beginning to stain adherent live cells with Bodipy in chamber slides for confocal. However after washing them (gently) in PBS (with calcium and Mg)  and adding the Bodipy staining solution they all get rounded and detached.

Any advice?

What is the buffering system for the bodipy?

Some cells are more prone to detaching than others, you may need to coat the slides with gelatine or something similar to keep the cells attached.
