Could anyone help?
Following fragmentation and biotin labelling of cDNA in preparation for microarray hybridisation I assess the fragmentation process using the bioanalyzer trace.
The trace normally displays a single peak after the marker with the majority of transcripts under 200nt. However lately traces have been starting to show a second peak that begins about midway /bottom of the first peak.
Has anyone any idea what this peak represents? It is also displayed as a faint band when reviewing the electrophoresis.
