Hi,

I need to extract protein from a whole rat heart and I wasn't sure if this needs special treatment because it's heart tissue. I was going to homogenise it in RIPA buffer and centrifuge and use the supernatent for Western Blot, does this sound all right or do I need to treat the heart tissue with something else to extract all the proteins?
