Hi everyone,

I would like to ask if anybody has used Y-PER Plus, dialyzable yeast protein extraction reagent from Pierce Thermo Scientific to extract total soluble protein from Yeast. If yes, do you has any good experiences with it? Any tips and tricks/ advises for me? I would really appreciate it!

I tried this product and the results were not good at all. When checked under light microscope, the yeast cells looked completely intact!!! However, when using the glassbead vortexing method (with lysis buffer), i saw that many yeast cells were lysed!
So, if anybody has good experience with Y-PER Plus reagent, please let me know your advises/ tricks to get it work. Thanks a bunch!
