H allo all,    

I have a question about phage display.
I understand the technology, but cant understand the following thing/aspect: "This creates a direct physical link between the DNA sequences and their encoding proteins" (just as an example). What I mean is: what do they mean with "physical link between the DNA and the protein?

Is it correct then to state that proteins made by phages are always linked to their DNA ?

I do not understand this.
The DNA of phage is circular right? I find it hard to assume that all proteins made by the phage stay attached to this DNA..
