Hi, I want to do qPCR on the bacteria from my samples. My samples contain a lot of cells, bacteria, and enzymes. As the DNA extraction procedure includes incubation with lysozyme at 37C for hours, I think I need to find a way to eliminate the enzyme activities in my sample.

I wonder if it suitable that I boil the sample for 10min before incubation with lysozyme?
