In your personal experience, has codon optimization helped increase transgenic protein expression?
I am transfecting expression vector containing a mouse insert into HEK293 and CHO-K1 cells and not receiving as high expression of the protein as I was expecting. I am considering consulting with a gene synthesis company to help optimize the DNA sequence in order to maximize gene expression in my host cells. Is this a path worth pursuing?
