Hi, i'm wondering if freezing down a brain homogenate will have any detrimental effect to the ability of receptors to bind ligands?

I'd probably freeze over 1 minute using liquid nitrogen.

Potentially, however snap-freezing (as you are doing) is probably the best way to preserve the proteins in a functional state if you need to store them
