I am running a tumor study, and I expect a 40% reduction in tumor formation in Mouse A compared to Mouse B. By 6 months, when we kill the mice for the tumor study, only 50% of all Mouse B form tumors. We will use a x^2 test with a 0.05 significance level and with 80% power to test whether or not our data is significant.
How would I go about calculating the sample size using this criteria? I have seen online that I can use G*power to calculate this for me, but I'm having a difficult time using this software.
Thank you for your help!
