Hi
I am currently looking at the GCLM gene of Drosophila melanogaster on Ensembl metazoan and NCBI. I am trying to look for the first published evidence of the genes isolation and/or cloning. I know one can find such a paper through NCBI or Ensembl but i'm not sure how exactly. I have managed to find the gene name as being FBgn0046114 on Ensembl but don't know how to use this information to find the paper. Can someone give me a hand?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

The ID FBgn0046114 is a flybase record number. http://flybase.org/r...Bgn0046114.html
Then look at the References section at the bottom to see if you can find the paper you wanted.
