Dear all,

is it possible to use the classical solution D followed by phenol/chloroform to extract RNA?
I was told that going directly to phenol or Trizol gives lower yields. Since the solution D contains a detergent, I thought it could be a better for the purification.
Thanks in advance!

You may want to check the instructions from the Urine RNA extraction kit, maybe it is required to add some buffer similar to your solution D.

It is possible to do RNA extraction in urine samples after its fresh frozen in liquid nitrogen and storage at -80ºC?  It is necessary to have any preservation solution as RNA later or other to preserve urine??? Thanks
