Hello.  I am trying to develop an assay to measure the downregulation of ER-alpha in a cell line that expresses it (preferably MCF-7).  For the people who are familiar with this gene, how is it usually regulated at the RNA level?  I've read certain papers that state that ER-alpha mRNA is regulated post-transcriptionally through affecting RNA stability.  Is this true?  What type of treatment would be best to downregulate its mRNA levels?  Thanks very much.
