However, the application specified for ELISA...... I would like to use it for western blot. The supplier is doubtful on this. Is there any difference between ELISA capturing Ab and Western Blot Ab.

elisa antibody will capture native protein.
the antibody for western blot binds to denatured protein.
sometimes the epitope is the same and the antibody can be used for both. sometimes it's not.
follow the advice of the supplier. the antibody would have been tested for various immuno-techniques.
