what is the measurment accuracy of a sample solution with ph 3.8 by calibrating with buffers pH 4 and 7 or Buffers pH 4, 7 and 10 ??

are you asking for a number (eg percent)? if so, then the manual that came with the pH meter and/or the electrode should give you that.

if you're looking for confirmation then 3.8 is close enough to 4 to be considered reasonably accurate.

i was kind of trying to understand the effect of 2 point and 3 point calibration on pH reading

2 point calibration gives you a straight line

3 point calibration allows for the construction of a rudimentary curve which should yield a more accurate determination

thanks for the info...is there a place where i can get in detail in formation about the same, i was doing some reading around...they are mentions also about there have been even mention in certain places about five point calibration...
