I am using fluorescent plate reader to calculate the fluorescent intensity of FITC BSA . I want to know how can we quench the fluorescent intensity of FITC BSA, either physically or chemically without changing the original color of FITC BSA solution (orange).

I read that FITC (without BSA conjugation) decomposes in water (ref : sigma ), .?
