I am trying to map the operon for YFAX_ECOLI, a gene whose function is thus far unknown, but is hypothesized to code for a DNA binding protein. I am not quite sure how to go about this, what kinds of sequences to look for, what kind of genes to look for, etc. Does anybody have any suggestions?
