I was looking at a blood sample under my microscope when I came across this:

Can someone please tell me what it is and if it's harmful or not?

Does it move? If not, it appears to me a piece of fiber.

It didn't move so that's probably what it is.

Thanks!

A very large chromosome ;0

It is a few hundred times the size of a red blood cell, so it is unlikely to have been present in the blood when it was sampled (though there are a few trypanosomes that could pass through a needle, but they are still a lot smaller than this), thus it is unlikely to be harmful.
