I'm generating a cell line stably expressing a GFP fusion protein.  I have one clone that is fluorescent under the microscope. However, I cannot detect the GFP fusion signal by western blot with anti-GFP antibody =(  The antibody is fine as indicated by the positive control.   Is fluorescence microscopy is more sensitive than western blot?

Thanks!

possibly, or it could be tha you are seeing auto-fluorescence of the cells rather than GFP.
