Hi all,
I am facing some problem regarding the shrinking of my matrix ie., CM cellulose , upto the packing of column everyting is ok even when i use my buffer to wash the column everything seems to be alright but the moment i load my samples and try to elute it out using a gradient of Nacl solution ,the matrix starts shrinking even upto 1cm after the run is complete when i wash it with my buffer and keep it overnight without running it ,it swells back upto 0.5 cm .Can anyone help me in this regard

   Regards,
Neeta .P

this is normal. the high salt causes shrinkage of the matrix (some matrices will shrink a lot more).
