I´ve heard that it´s possible during presentation with a beamer to simultanously follow the slides on your noebook screen BUT with comments which are not to be seen by the beamer projection...someone who knows?

I guess with the normal powerpoint or impress it's not working, though I'm not sure about the last versions (I still work with office 2003
). Anyway there are addons such as this one. No idea how helpful they are and if they really work without problems.
I usually give a talk without notes and try to improvise if necessary. For emergencies especially in topics I'm not very familiar with, I've some written down notes in point form. That's all, don't need them on the screen then.
