Hi

I have been using 5-azacytidine on cancer cell lines. I have noticed strong reactivation at the protein level of my gene of interest when I apply 5-azaC. However, I have ntoiced that after sodium bisulphite sequencing the CpG island within my gene of interest is still methylated. I was wondering if there was a positve control that is frequently used to assess the efficiency of the 5-azaC treatment.

Thanks

I don't think there is a control to test 5-aza-C efficiency, it would be cell line specific also.
