Dear fellow researchers,
I've been trying to get my hands on good staining/storage trays for large 2D gels. So far I only manages to come up with sterilisation trays made from polypropylene which work okay but lack a lid that seals the containers air-tight. Does anyone know a manufacturer who has staining and/or storage boxes in her lineup that are large enough to accomodate 25x20 cm 2d gels ? Keep in mind that the gels often swell during the staining procedure. So 25x35 cm might be more suitable. Also, the plastic must not release plasticizers since they might interfere with mass spectrometric analysis of protein spots.
Thanks in advance,
Niklas
