Hi there,

I try to knock down a protein by shRNA. As I do not have the antibody, so I use the real-time PCR to check the knock down efficiency. After infection, I can knock down the target gene mRNA expression level to 30% compared to Non-target control.
Do you think this will lead to decrease the protein express level?

Thank you.

You can't be sure unitl you look with a western blot. If your protein is normally particularly highly expressed, you may (and it would need to be validated first) be able to see a difference on a coomassie stain of a gel, if you are lucky!

Thank you. I will wait for my antibody, and the same time I plan to use these KD cells do some phenotype analysis.
