Hi,

can anybody advise any alterations to a normal CTAB DNA extraction, that is more sensitive to environmental anammox bacteria DNA?

thanks!

there are some sort of Nano Magnetic DNA extraction kits out there, but I think CTAB is more friendly for our environment.

Hi try a ctab/polyvinylpyrrolidone extraction, the PVPP is excellent at mopping up polyphenols and carbohydrates from environmental samples which can be inhibitory to enzymatic reactions
