When I run a formaldehyde gel, I notice that there is stuff move in the wrong direction. My loading buffer moves down the gel which is fine, but there are streaks of yellow moving up. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Basically, there is a streak of yellow (in all wells) moving towards the negative end. I still get stuff moving down towards the cathode though but just wondering what that yellow is moving in the wrong direction.
