Pseudomonas aeruginosa will fluoresce under uv radiation(365nm).  Can this be used to positively identify Ps. aeruginosa?

Also, are there other bacteria that fluoresce under uv radiation?

Thanks,
Nigel

Looks suspiciously like homework to me... so what do you think causes the Pseudomonas to fluoresce?  Is this unique to that species?
