Hi,
I want to try and remove fibroblast from my vascular smooth muscle cells. I plan to use an antibody against fibroblast (Name: 1B10, abcam code:ab11333) that when used with young rabbit serum can kill the fibroblast. The young rabbit serum acts as a source of complement. My question is how crucial would it be to use young rabbit serum? I have sent emails to a few companies and no one seems to sell it, so to get it produced by custom order would be expensive. So can I not just use the normal rabbit serum that many companies sell?
I could purchase rabbit complement but I would have no idea what concentration to use? The paper (pubmed id: PMID:2918230) that used the young rabbit serum used it in a 1:8 ratio with their usual complete medium.
Thanks for your time and help
Sean
