We isolate plasma membranes from muscle and intestinal tissues to enrich the transmembrane proteins studied in Western blot samples. Do you have an idea what could be a valid internal control? GAPDH gives a band, but I wonder how it works so well, while GAPDH is a soluble protein (or is it?).
