Hi,

I recently isolated a plasmid from a providencia stuartii that was very similar (~85%) to a plasmid previously published from e.coli. The P.stuartii plasmid has some addtional inserts, including some important resistance genes however.
Can anyone tell him what is the correct convention for naming this plasmid? Can I give it a separate name, or should I use a variant of the plasmid name from e.coli?
Thnaks
Patrick
