FPLC buffer exchange; 8 M urea to 8 M guanidine hydrochloride

I want to use gel filtration on FPLC to exchange an 8 M urea buffer into a 8 M guanidine hydrochloride buffer. Does anyone know if there's a way to tell if all the urea has been exchanged?
